a spring in my step...

It's officially been an entire week since the clocks went forward and it seemed to encourage the skies to give us beautiful weather all week. It's possible that this resulted in a patch of sunburn on my arm in a very bizarre shape but let's not dwell on that...
I've got three days of university lectures left and on Thursday I'll finally be going home to my lovely double bed and greeting my parents when they fly in from Dubai, wahoo!

Since it's been forever since my last "proper" post I'm going to fit a bit of everything into this. If you follow me on Instagram I've been much more active on there since it's easy to take snaps and caption them wherever I am but here's some little updates anyway...

50th anniversary cocktails at The Langham Hotel
 best friend's 21st birthday giant cupcake, y u m!
 2 little jelly babies...they didn't last long!
new favourite jumper and curly hair
you me at six being amazing in Bournemouth last week.

The absolute peak of this week has to be me finally fitting into this skirt and wearing it to Bournemouth Beach on Wednesday..my friend is inept when it comes to using my iPhone to take a photo haha, hey finger! I'm aiming to be less than 140lbs come Monday so let's keep our fingers crossed please!

So, this week I WILL be posting about the Clinique translucent powder I bought a few weeks ago because I love, love, love it and want the world to know!

Lots of love and appreciation for those of you who stuck around over my terrible couple of weeks posting-wise!

December Catch Up

It has been a little while since my last blog post. Since moving back home for Christmas I've been busy for what feels like every moment!

My boyfriend and I went to London to see The Lion King, Covent Garden's LaDuree, Passionfruit Bubble Tea with popping boba (yum!), Juicy Couture iPhone case, Presents all wrapped up and a little bottle of Olbas Oil to soothe my blocked sinuses!

I'm back at work at the moment, I've got the deadly 9-6 shift tomorrow with the biggest head cold ever and then I'm coming home to 10 family members who are coming for dinner. 2 roasts in 2 days - oink!! I hope you all have a lovely Christmas, my next post will probably be early next week when we're all gushing over our presents!

Lots of love & Merry Christmas,

Wonderful Weekend

After travelling home for the weekend and partying Saturday night away it was an absolute blessing to put my Ugg boots on, like a little cuddle for each foot!
It was one of my closest friend's birthday last week and her parents organised a really lovely night at a local venue. We drank champagne (until we polished off their stash and then we hit the vodka/malibu/gin!) and ate nibbles, followed later by a meal. Naturally we cringey danced to all the best songs and repeatedly told each other how much we love each other before getting a taxi home for some well deserved cheese on toast!

Speaking of unnecessary (but wonderful) carbs and fatty foods, I started the gym again today! I'm so glad I went back and realised that it won't kill me to be there and no-one will laugh at me. I know that sounds pathetic but at least it's out the way now. I'll be going again at least once this week to make sure that I drop these last few horrific pounds!

Tonight is dedicated to finally watching Kim's Fairytale Wedding on E! and wishing that one day I'll be as beautiful as her.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend, xo xo

Uni Life- 2nd Year

So I'm now back in the South of England at university. I moved into a four-bedroom house with three of my best friends a couple of weeks ago and we've finally got the house set up to with tv and internet so it feels more like a home than just a house.

I havent been able to take many photos of the house, not that it's very picturesque, but I do have a few photos from my instagram over the last few weeks

My Clarins face cleanser and moisturiser. Absolute god sends if you ask me!

Our first night in the house with a tiny tv and a huge aerial. Thankfully this has been replaced by a fantastic 52 inch screen now.

My September Glossybox! I was so excited on the drive to pick this up from the Post Office!

Little texts bringing cupcakes to one of my old flat mates.

My new dog jumper from River Island. It's the first thing I put on for hungover mornings or afternoons after lectures. Definitely my favourite wardrobe item this month.

Okay, so this isn't from Instagram but this was the highlight of my week last week! Getting re-tweeted by a Mrs.Doubtfire twitter account with a reply like that is priceless.

Tuesday morning getting ready for lectures. I had just used my HD Brows palette and I'm still totally in love with it.

This is a little kitten who lives down the road. She comes right into the house most days and on Wednesday she fell asleep on the sofa!

This is a photo from when I went out on Thursday night. Everything looks normal until you look at the bottom left and Aimee is drying her face under the hand dryer whilst taking pictures to see her expressions.
I don't fully understand it either.

There you have it. The last couple of weeks of my life through my iPhone. I'll get back to proper updates in the next few days and big love for those of you who stuck around while I've been slacking

TGIF!

Absolutely loving that it's Friday night. As it's coming up to the last of my days at home before returning to uni I'm really living the dream by drinking tea and watching Big Brother! T is at work tonight so I'm watching it now rather than boring him in the morning.

Next week is looking like a lot of packing and as much time as possible with my family and T but I've made a few (okay, fine A LOT) of purchases this week so I'll be posting about a dress that should turn up on Monday, as well as how good my new Clarins products

I did a little bit of baking today. I found a recipe for cupcakes which I hadn't used before and I just substituted sugar for Splenda so I could make them lower in calorie content. This worked well until it came to the melted Milkybar, but with a little will-power it was all alright in the end!
Here's a photo from my instagram earlier today...

ps, these were my cakes!

y-u-m thank you very much, even if they do look a little strange.

I can't wait to get back to uni life and get some proper cooking done.. being home has done nothing positive for my weight at all over summer!
