Ted Baker - S/S 14 Footwear

Contrary to what the weather may have us believing, Spring isn't actually that far away. Although I can't quite see myself skipping through fields of daisies barefoot with a flower crown just yet I can certainly see myself expanding my footwear collection with the help of Ted Baker's upcoming releases.

Already unveiled in their mini catalogue there are of course florals, pastels and prints to feast your eyes on. The footwear collection compliments the S/S clothing line perfectly, there's a whole host of pastels and brights to finally bring some life into wardrobes around the globe. Thank G O D! I love me some black but it's getting repetitive...

My favourites from the S/S footwear releases are the Jemmee jelly shoes - there's a whole bunch of colours including an embellished nude and a pastel green. I'd love to pair these with either some plain, black jeans or a skater skirt (once I've given my pasty white legs a bit of a tan....).

For a Spring wedding there are some gorgeous printed heels, particularly the Luceey pairs. They come in a contrasting white and blue print which would stand out amongst everyone else's plain pumps.

Finally, as I have Bestival on the brain I've got my eye on the wellies. I LOVE them! Perfect for keeping some elements of festival going chic, even if my hair might be looking questionable by day 3!

What do you think? I'm crossing everything that I can pick up a pair when the brighter months roll around!

Disney inspired outfit #1 - you've got to be kitten me!

So I haven't really got any weekly features on my blog but I have decided to start one. Due to my love of Disney and my complete denial of the fact I'll shortly be turning 22 I've chosen to begin putting together some outfits inspired by my favourite Disney characters.

To begin I've chosen my favourite animated kitten, Marie. I love everything about her, especially her  choice of bows and ribbons and heir feisty attitude towards her mischievous brothers.

Top to bottom & left to right : the pink bow headband is from the USA Monsoon website here (click!), the pink bow earrings are by Kate Spade here (click!), the first white dress is by Ted Baker here (click!), the middle dress is by Miss Selfridge except its disappeared off the website and the playsuit is by Topshop here (click!). Onto the footwear - the pale pink sneakers are by Vans here (click!), the nude pumps are by Miu Miu (I have lusted after these for a good eighteen months!) here (click!), the pink Converse Allstars are here (click!), fuschia heels are by Zara here (click!). Finally, the finishing touches come in the form of a beautiful pink Kate Spade handbag here (click!), in keeping with Marie's French heritage I couldn't ignore the Chanel Caviar medium bag, however I'm reluctant to put a link to this bag as it I don't want anyone to get conned by a fake seller, sorry! To get your little paws to match Marie's here are two Topshop nail polishes, the pale pink is here (click!) and the bright pink here (click!).

So, that's my first Disney character inspired set!

I hope you can find some things you like from this, let me know in the comments if you buy anything or if you have any better ideas.

pink, it was love at first sight!

As we all know this month is Breast Cancer Awareness month and numerous companies and brands have turned some of their products pink in support of this.
Being someone who is in full support of all research dedicated to curing cancer as well as an avid lover of all things pink I compiled a little post on the top pink products out there that won't just be around for October.

Jumper [1] Jeans [2] Nail Polish [3] Lipstick [4] Bronzer [5] Shoes [6] iPad Case [7]

So, are you thinking pink?

In October I loved....

Lipsy Coat, Clarins Daily Energizer Cream, Mac 123 Brush, Pink With A Splash by Victoria's Secret in Sweet & Flirty,
Ted Baker iPad Case, Diorskin Nude in 020, No7 Lift & Luminate in Porcelain 03, Bobbi Brown Face Blender,
HD Brows Palette in Vamp, Benefit Dallas Bronzer and my Hello Kitty hot water bottle

Since we're in the first week of November now I'm running a little late, but I wanted to do my first "things I loved" post! These are my favourite bits and pieces from October....

1. My Lipsy coat. It's so snuggly warm and paired with a scarf it keeps me covered from the cold on my walk to uni.

2. Clarins moisturiser from their Daily Energizer range. I use the face wash and the toner a couple of times a week but the moisturiser was perfect for every day before applying my make-up. It was called a cream but did have a slightly gel-like consistency. I was recommended it by the lady on the counter in my local Debenhams over the actual moisturising gel alternative because my skin isn't dry or greasy, a nice inbetween. It's quite thick and a little definitely goes a long way but it was perfect for me! The pot is sadly empty now but I'll be buying a new one asap!

3. Mac brush 123. I use this as a bronzer or blusher brush as it's smaller than my Bobbi Brown brush so I only cover the area I'm aiming for without getting it everywhere! It does malt a little though which is a pain.

4. Pink With A Splash by Victoria's Secret in Sweet & Flirty. I first bought this body mist in Miami 2010 in a smaller bottle and it lasted me almost a full year! When I went back to Florida this summer I knew I had to buy another bottle. I think it was $15 and it is DEFINITELY worth the money!

5. My beloved Ted Baker iPad case. I'm a sucker for the laquer-finish Ted Baker accessories! I have a purse that's brown leather with a black pvc strip in the middle that is my one love. This case is perfect for my iPad2 as a) it stops scratches or marks ruining the aluminium when it's in my bag and b) if I need to carry it in my hands I don't look like i'm trying to show off with it! It's discreet but very aesthetically pleasing with the small lettering and the little black bow.

6 & 7. Two foundations last month! I stopped using my Diorskin foundation before summer as I was beginning to look tangoed every day. I used to get quite worried that I looked like the love child of an oompa-loompa and a wotsit so I switched to my back-up No7 Lift & Luminate. I apply these with a Mac 190 brush by either blending them on the back of my hand or putting a small blob of each on the tip of the brush.

8. Bobbi Brown face blender brush. Perfect for brushing over my face to even out the colour or blend my bronzer and blusher so they're not as full-on. It's also handy for applying my bronzer with the very edge of the brush along my cheek bone.

9. The winning product from my September Glossybox - the HD Brows palette in Vamp. I adore this and use it every day! A little goes a long way and it's very easy to over-do my eyebrows but with a magnifying mirror and a bit of patience it usually works out okay.

10. Benefit Dallas Bronzer. I LOVE this bronzer. I used to use it all the time when I was about 16/17 and I recently found a half full pot. It's now almost empty so it's one for the Christmas list!! It's got enough shimmer to give my cheeks a "glow" and doesn't look like I've rolled round in a pot of glitter!

11. Finally, my lovely hot water bottle. My boyfriend bought me this last Christmas and since moving into my second year university house I've used it almost every night. It's always cold in this house because the gas is so expensive and none of us know how to set the heating timer properly. It stays warm till around 4am which is perfect!

So, how was this for my first "things I loved" post??
I'd love any comments you have for me and I'll reply to them all.

Kisses, xo xo

Retail Therapy

After work yesterday my mum met me to for a quick shop. We were initially there so I could buy myself some new make-up brush cleaner but as soon as we walked into Debenhams and realised there was a sales event all self-restraint left the building! I left with two bottles of brush cleanser and a whole new Clarins facial cleansing set! Both are wonderful, especially with a discount!

This new range of Clarins "Daily Energiser" products came to £40.50 (normal RRP for all 3 £43.50) so although it's not a huge saving I was pleased as it's the first time I'll have tried these.

Similarly, each bottle of brush cleaner was reduced to £7.65 from £8.50 so another good saving on these products.

After doing the rounds in Debenhams we moved on to Bank where I bought the most B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L coat by Lipsy. Unfortunately I left it at my best friend's house tonight, boo! But thanks to the internet I've got a photo from Bank's website
RRP £80. Found at any Lipsy store, stockist or online.

I bought a couple of basic pieces, a plain black dress and a panelled bodycon skirt which has two gold zips on the front (sounds tacky, really isnt!)

And finally, my  Pièce de résistance;

Sadly, they're not by Jeffrey Campbell and they weren't mega bucks but I think they're beautiful! They're perfect to walk in as the platform only leaves about 2 inches of extra heel and I really, really like them. This pair were £34.99 by Miso. I know a lot of people aren't partial to the real Jeffrey Campbell Lita style but I much prefer this open-toe style as opposed to the lace-up boot.

To round of a wonderful couple of days of spending my new Ted Baker iPad case arrived! I am absolutely in love with it and it goes perfectly with my purse!

I might go to my polyvore and make an outfit based around my new clothes, shoes and accessories!

New Zara Bag!

On a night when the men of my house have taken over the TV for the England match and my boyfriend is at work.... what better to do than blog about my new, fantastic, beautiful bag from Zara!
I am 100% in love with it and I want everyone to know!

Purse: Ted Baker £69 (link)
Bag: Zara £29.99 (link)

I took this photo earlier in the week when I was thinking of doing a "What's In My Bag" post but I realised after I'd taken it that I only had my purse and my car keys in there after work!

I bought the bag last week for £29.99 and I've used it every day since. I love the cream and brown together and the little gold studs and clasps on the handles really compliment it. It's a size "medium" but I'd say it's smaller than most of my other bags. Saying that, I took it to Ikea with me yesterday and came home having managed to fit in an alarm clock in as well as the rest of my day-to-day items (phone, purse, keys, sunglasses and make-up bag) so it's by no means small.
It also has a shoulder strap as well as the top handles so you can wear it either way depending on your preference. The base is the same brown leather-esque material as the handles so you don't have to worry about getting dirty marks on the bottom when you put it down.

I've had compliments on it since I bought it and I always say where I bought it from incase they're after it.
It comes with either brown detailing or black/charcoal detailing. My decision was based on what it would look best with in my wardrobe!

Are there any bags you think are a must have this Autumn??
