What's In My Bag....

Yaaaay, it's half term! I know for those of you who aren't in education / don't work in a school then this might seem silly but I'm so glad to have a week off work! I can do so many magical things like sleep, wear a full face of make-up, not check my emails, wear mismatched socks, stay in my pyjamas, not have to prepare tomorrow's lunch at the same time as tonight's dinner etc etc etc! Like I said, MAGICAL!

As I've got the week off I've decided I'll do some grown up stuff so this cloudy Monday has been dedicated to getting my car's MOT done. I decided to make sure my bag had enough stuff to keep me occupied whilst I waited for it to fail (which of course, it did!) and then subsequently get all fixed up again.

So, my bag of choice was my Mulberry Del Rey. I've had it since 2012 when it was first released so it isn't as shiny and new as it was. It also appears to be less structured than the newer versions of the bag so it only looks its best when it's pretty full...

luckily for me I'm good at filling it right up!

(L-R) Mulberry Continental wallet in Dark Blush (full post here, click!), Moleskine journal and personalised notebook (buy the weekly journal here), 2 pens, Tales of the Jazz Age by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Mango & Strawberry tea bags, chewing gum, hair clasp, Dior lip glow (full post & retail info here, click!), Nivea Lip Butter (full post & retail info here, click!) Sally Hansen cuticle lotion (buy here), Benefit lip gloss, iPad, gig ticket for The 1975, headphones and my iPhone.

Some of these are pretty obvious so I won't explain them but I have this book in my bag because I love F. Scott Fitzgerald. The Great Gatsby was my favourite book from my university course and that lead me to read a bit more by the same author. This one is a collection of short stories, my favourite one is called "The Jelly Bean".
I've got the tea bags in there because I thought there may not be any fruit teas at the garage but there's usually a coffee machine that supplies hot water. Luckily there was a whole bunch of Clipper teas so I didn't have to use my emergency supplies!

I don't know why this gig ticket is still in my bag! I must have thrown it in the bottom of the bag when I was at Brixton last month....Shows how often I empty out the crap I hoard! I took my iPad because I was hoping for wi-fi access, thankfully there was a customer wi-fi service! I watched some YouTube videos and sent some bloggy emails so that definitely helped pass the time!

Link me to your What's In My Bag posts - I love to see what other people take with them everywhere!

Mulberry Continental Wallet in Dark Blush

Words honestly don't do this little baby justice. I've had it for about 3 months now and it's still not got a scratch. This might be because I keep it as far away from everything else in my handbag as possible but it's important to consider the durability and quality of the leather.
This is not a purse for vegetarians and vegans so I apologise that this will only appeal to people who don't share those views. It is made of goat skin, which frankly sounds horrible but if you can get past that it really is so soft and feels very sturdy.

The Mulberry plaque at the front and the metal embellishments are all rose gold which is my absolute FAVE and it compliments the blush colour of the leather wonderfully.

It has 12 card compartments, a change section, 4 slip pockets on the inside, an external pocket at the back, grey Mulberry tree inner lining and popper closures.
I haven't experienced any stretching if the change pocket is a little full which is something that always worries me with leather purses!

I absolutely love this purse and I can't see that there will be a need to replace it for a long time. That's partly tragic because there are even more beautiful Mulbs additions in the purse sections online but I'm incredibly appreciative that the high quality of the purse will give it a long, happy life in my Del Rey!

Last night we went out to celebrate our closest family friend's birthday with a beautiful dinner and a bit too much champagne!

I just wanted to do a quick post showing what I wore. Yet again I was rocking another ASOS skater dress but I absolutely L O V E the fit of this one and it's perfect when I'm wearing colourful shoes to brighten it all up!

summer's in the air and baby heaven's in your eyes

Jacket : Forever21 T-shirt : Forever21 Jeans : Topshop Leigh (again!) Bag : Mulberry Del Rey Shoes (not pictured) : Miss Selfridge.

I absolutely love this outfit, now I'm a little blonder I feel like I can wear pastel colours without being washed out, finally! This jacket is my absolute new favourite wardrobe item because it's studded and it goes so well with everything I own (...mainly because I own a lot of black!). Unfortunately I bought it in Florida and I can't find it online but there is something similar here (click!).

I was going to take a photo of the back of the t-shirt as it has a completely lace back but I couldn't get a nice one and now it's sold out online, tragic!

Forever21 is easily one of my favourite high street stores to shop in when I'm in the UK and in the US because nothing is extortionately priced nor is to too cheap to look nice.

Anyway, I wore this out for dinner with one of my best friends last week but it could easily be worn over a skater dress with heels or in place of a blazer at a Summer or garden party. I find a nice jacket is a perfect accessory when completed with a cold glass of Pimms!

Summer Wishlist #1

So, we get about 3.456 nanoseconds of sun and every blogger and their mum is making a summer wishlist set, which is absolutely fine by me! I'm always wanting more to add to my wardrobe / nail polish / jewellery collection and these are my current wants needs!

L- R (sort of...)
Rings: Batya Kebudi rose gold heart ring here (click!) and Ariane Arazi gold plated crown ring here (click!). Pink Cambridge Satchel here (click!). Denim shirt here (click!). Floral jeans here (click!). Mulberry bracelet here (click!). Essie Madison Ave-hue here (click!) and Lapiz of Luxury here (click!). Burt's Bees Grapefruit lip balm here (click!). I would like...

I don't know why the quality of this is so awful, I saved it from polyvore but I think it messed with the file, oopsies.. anyway, a standard wishlist post tonight - I have a few of these items but the Litas and the Del Rey would pretty much complete my life.

Happy Sunday :)
