No7 Sheer Temptation Lipstick

This No7 Sheer Temptation lipstick only took a couple of days to become a new make-up bag staple for me.... except I "borrowed" it off my mama and it doesn't belong to me! Welp!

Released in the Summer Collection this lipstick gives a sheer lip colour with lots of moisture - to me it's like putting a lipstick on after applying a coat of Vaseline. I absolutely love the colour payoff with this lipstick, it's not sticky at all and it's so glossy without that gooey kind of look that comes with some products.

You can see the difference between my natural lip colour and the pink shade of the lipstick. It's not opaque or thick but it is a subtle colour transfer that brightens any neutral everyday look.

This is in the shade "Blooming Pink" but there are at least 9 other shades in the range. This shade is relatively newly launched as are a couple of others but they're not named online at the moment.

I'd love a more neutral colour to add to this collection like Coral Peach but there's another bright pink called Showy which looks lovely too!

Do you have these? Let me know in the comments!

Mama's Birthday Presents

On Monday it was my Mum's 45th (or something like that) birthday. My brother and I tend to put our money together so we can get her a few nice things rather than lots of smaller, cheaper things.

This year I took a wander to the Lancome counter in my local Boots (advantage points to me!) and picked up one new thing and one item I know she likes.

Lancôme Juicy Tube in 22 (£14.50) and Hypnôse Doll Eyes Mascara in Black (£20.50)

Obviously since these were presents I haven't tried the products so can't review them but I love the look of this brush. My pet peeve with mascaras is the annoying rubber/plastic brush, I much prefer a thick, bristly brush (see Benefit's Bad Gal or Maybelline's Great Big Lash) to get volume, length and even coverage.
I chose this lipgloss in the most neutral colour they had without being too bland. Since my mum works I didn't want her to have to pass on the lip gloss or to settle for the sticky Bobbi Brown lip gloss that I always find in her handbag! I asked whether this lip gloss is sticky and I was assured it isn't but I'll have to wait for mother to report back!

Anyway, I'm off to Disneyland Paris tomorrow and I'm sure you'll be greeted with a very photo heavy post the day I come home!

Have a lovely rest of the week, big love
